READING PUBLIC LIBRARY

According to the August 2013 "THE READING INFORMER," The reading Library now provides free access to "Universal Class," an online continuing ed service offering more than 500 classes. The cost of these classes can run up to $250 each, but Reading Library patrons may take up to 5 at a time for free! Program features include 24/7 internet access from anywhere, real instructors, video-based learning, graded testing, and certificates of achievement. Area of study include GED arts, computers, business, legal studies, natural remedies, real estate, science, web development and more! Also at the RPL are free Vermont State Park passes good at Ascutney, Plymouth, Wilgus & Silver Lake state parks as well as passes to the Old Constitution House in Windsor, Calvin Coolidge Birthplace in Plymouth Notch, Eureka Schoolhouse in Springfield, VT, Billings farm in Woodstock & VT History Museum in Montpelier.

Be sure to see our family's favorite amenity: the Children's Library in the basement. We've spent hours of quality enjoyable time there.
